Friday seemed to be the start of this fantastic heatwave we appear to be encountering. I took advantage of the heat by going out during the day for the first time (in what seemed like forever in England) with no jacket on! However I was travelling from one stop to the next lugging a mini suitcase and my weekend bag around, so needless to say I was still boiling in my choice of outfit but at least I felt fabulous.

‘A Little Party Never Killed Nobody…’
After a nice relaxing weekend away in the Lake District with my boyfriend, there was only one way to begin my week, with a party! Our friend was turning a year older, so of course we had to go out and celebrate with a meal and a couple of cocktails. Unsurprisingly a couple of cocktails turned into several and after going back to my friend’s apartment for more drinks at hers, we found ourselves making our way back out to party the night away.

Something New
Today’s outfit made me realise I have been purchasing one too many items from H&M as of late, especially as all the items I wore today were bought on separate occasions. Recently I seem to find myself going into H&M at least once a week and never seem to come out empty handed. They must have really great subliminal advertising or something because I seem to be unable to walk past without going inside…. Everything in today’s outfit was bought on sale and I hadn’t planned this when I got dressed this morning, nor had I planned to be a walking advertisement for H&M. Anyway the cost of today’s look came to a grand total of £19. Not bad hey, not bad.

Tea and Cake with LBD
On Thursday evening I met up with Laura (or as I like to call her, LBD) and we went for tea and cake at Richmond Tea Rooms. It was LBD’s first time there and of course she loved it. We had a veggie club sandwich to share, which surprisingly I really enjoyed, considering it contained goats cheese and I usually hate goats cheese! After our sandwich it was cake time! LBD went for the Lemon slice and I was brave and opted for the mighty chocolate fudge cake, which of course I ordered it warm with ice cream. We shared a pot of Chinese tea and later moved onto a bottle of red wine. I had a shoot the next day and had to get home to pack for my weekend in Sheffield, otherwise we would have carried on talking and probably carried on drinking.
What I wore: Skirt – H&M, Black tank top, Jacket – River Island, Wedges – Underground, Bag – Zara.

Macadamia Oil
As promised here is a review post on a couple of Macadamia products I bought whilst modelling at this year’s Pro Hair Live.
It was a couple of months ago now but when I was at Pro Hair Live, during some free time on a break, I went along with another model who was heading over to the Macadamia oil stand to purchase some products. Recommended by the model and (obviously) by the people working on the stand, I ended up buying these two products:
Macadamia Healing Oil Treatment (in the 125 ml/4.2 oz) and Macadamia Flawless (in the 250ml/8oz) -
Pearls & Lipstick update
Just a quick update here…
It’s currently a bit hectic at home as we’re due to move house this week but amongst all the craziness, yesterday I managed to find time to start getting product shots of some of the items that will be on sale on Pearlsandlipstick.co.uk. (Exciting!)
So I have been taking a few sneaky custom orders prior to the site going live, including this coin purse which I love (if I do say so myself):

A busy few weeks of fun.
So as of late I’ve been rubbish at blogging but March has been a busy month and I’ve had lots of fun. My highlights have been catching up with far away friends, heading down to London, doing some much needed test shoots and having lots of great nights out. Unfortunately all this has meant I’ve been left with little free time for my bag making/product shots and so progress on the online store opening has been rather nonexistent. However now I’ve got a very busy few weeks out of the way, I’m hoping over the rest of April I’ll have some free time to focus on my bags and get the website open.
I had a long over due night out with Laura and Abi. I see Laura a lot but hadn’t seen Abi in ages, so it was nice to catch up, eat pizza and have a girlie night out together.

This week
Today I’ve been feeling a bit lethargic, I think this past week has finally caught up on me and my lack of sleep has taken its toll. I haven’t blogged much as of late, partly because I haven’t had much chance and partly due to laziness when I have had the spare time. I have been taking pictures throughout my week and the week before, all with the good intention of blogging but I just haven’t gotten round to it until now.
So on Monday and Tuesday I was shooting. Monday’s shoot was in a cosy studio, sheltered from the blizzard like weather outside but Tuesday’s shoot was outdoors and it was freezing!
The shoot was for an up and coming designer who makes leather bum bags, ATQM. As the theme was summer/festivals the clothing was mainly short shorts and crop tops, so we had to brave the cold whilst trying to look warm. I was working with a couple of other girls from my agency and also my friend, Laura was on the shoot too.
– Left, Laura getting her makeup done ready to shoot and right, me braving the cold whilst shooting. (more…)
