The Body Shop Vitamin E Overnight Serum-In-Oil Review

I’d been debating with the idea of investing in an overnight serum for a while but when it came to the point of shopping for one, each time I’d be faced with the dilemma of which one to get, how much to spend and being worried of picking the wrong one. Eventually I went with my instinct and opted for The Body Shop, as I know I often find products from there that I can rely on.

I decided to purchase the Vitamin E Overnight Serum-In-Oil, as I already had the Vitamin E eye cream (and love it) so I thought I’d try the serum from this range too.

The Vitamin E Overnight Serum-In-Oil comes in a study bottle and the top screws off to revel a pipette, which you can use to carefully dispense the serum onto the finger tips before smoothing onto the face.

The serum oil has a very light, fresh scent and only a few drops are needed, as a tiny amount of this goes a long way. It absorbs quickly into the skin and instantly leaves it feeling smoothed and hydrated.

After using this overnight serum for a couple of months now, I can see my skin looking fresher in the mornings and it has left it feeling so soft. I’m glad I purchased this product and finally invested in an overnight serum. I find it’s great for when my skin is feeling thirsty and in need of an added boost of moisture.

    Clarins HydraQuench Cream-Mask Review

Sometimes my skin is in need of some extra rehydration, especially after a heavy weekend. I’ve found that at times when my skin is feeling really dehydrated, moisturiser alone just doesn’t seem to be enough and my skin really needs something a little more intense.

I first used the Clarins HydraQuench Cream-Mask around a year ago and since then it’s became a go to product that I use when my skin is feeling extra thirsty. The mask comes out like a thick cream and you leave it on for five to ten minutes before cleansing. I often leave it on for longer depending on if I feel my skin needs it.

    Clarins HydraQuench Cream Mask

This stuff really does work wonders at helping rehydrate my skin and it is certainly a product that lives up to its title. I’d definitely recommend this cream-mask as it’s now become an essential product in my skincare routine which I can’t imagine going without in the future.

Have you tried any Clarins products? Or do you know any products that work wonders at hydrating the skin?

No7 Blissful Body Wash & Completely Quenched Body Lotion Review

It’s not often I blog about shower gels and body lotions, because to be honest they never seem to excite me quite the same as facial skincare products do. I’m probably not alone in saying that I quite frequently indulge in new skincare products for my face but lets not forget, the skin on the rest of our bodies deserve some TLC too. Don’t get me wrong, I always use shower gel and body moisturiser but I put much less thought into them compare to the products that I buy for my face.

    No7 Blissful Body Wash

Most of the time I’ll have my usual ‘go to’ shower gels, that smell nice and do the job at keeping my skin clean but I can sometimes find that they leave my skin feeling ‘stripped’ and quite dry. I’ve really loved using this body wash on my skin as it feels more hydrating and it leaves my skin feeling soft after showering.

I must say that the price is a little steep compared to what I usually pay for day to day shower gel but like I say, sometimes your skin needs a little extra TLC and this does do the job. In terms of a repurchase, I would be tempted but I’d probably alternate it between one of my cheaper body washes and use this one when my skin is feeling a little dry.

No7 Completely Quenched Moisturising Body Lotion

I really love this body lotion. I often struggle to find creams that add enough moisture to my skin (especially to my legs after shaving), without leaving them feeling greasy. This lotion adds plenty of moisture and shine to my skin without leaving it feeling oily or sticky afterwards. It’s lightly fragranced and leaves my skin feeling so lovely and soft. I often suffer with irritated skin on my legs and I’ve found when using this I’ve had no problems. It’s certainly become a new favourite for me in terms of an everyday body moisturiser.

  • Botanics Instant Moisture Mist

    Botanics Instant Moisture Mist

The other day I popped into boots for a few gym bag essentials. Number one on my list was body moisturizer. Although I do have a few favorite skin moisturizers I tend to use, I often like trying new ones whilst totting up those ever useful Boots points! I love the Boots Botanic range and already use a number of their products, so I was intrigued when I spotted this Botanics Instant Moisturiser Mist. I popped it in my basket without a second thought and made my purchase.

Once again Botanics did not disappoint. It literally does what it says on the tin and is ‘ultra-light, absorbs in seconds, hydrates’ and of course comes out as a moisture mist when sprayed from the can.

I would recommend this product for the gym bag, as the can itself is quite lightweight and this product is a quick and easy way to moisturise after just jumping out of the shower. As the moisture mist absorbs quickly, it means you don’t have to wait around before getting dressed and the easy spray application makes it much easier than rubbing on moisturiser.

The fragrance is fresh and mild, so prefect for day to day use.
